ClimateCon uses existing and emerging technologies to combine the worlds of tech and conservation to move communities of the earth towards sustainable lifestyles, making sustainability the new normal.

Climate Change

A change in global or regional climate patterns, in particular a change apparent from the mid to late 20th century onwards and attributed largely to the increased levels of atmospheric carbon dioxide produced by the use of fossil fuels.

Emerging Technologies

Technology that is currently being developed, or will be developed within the next five to ten years.

ClimateCon

Climate Con’s aim is to lead the call to action against an uninhabitable planet by bringing people together, both virtually, and physically, to address the issues we currently face and to implement real time emerging technical solutions.

The Climate

Weather is what you see and feel on a daily basis. Climate is the change that the earth experiences over a long period of time. The change in climate planet earth is experiencing is causing the weather we feel to become extreme. Extreme to the extent that life on planet earth has been placed in jeopardy.

What We Offer

ClimateCon is built to forge a sustainable process for climatech ecosystems in California and beyond.

01.

Create a climate community.

02.

Discover emerging climate technologies.

03.

Develop research agendas.

04.

Award grants for innovative technology projects.
g

05.

Increase investments for adoptions to help products reach the market.

ClimateCon should prove beneficial to farmers, students, developers, engineers, computer scientists, inventors, influencers, politicians, orgs, entrepreneurs, financiers, investors and climate responsible corporations.

Climate Focus

A think tank on how to return carbon into the soil, which can be implemented and measured by everyday people. An exploration on green sustainability by way of inclusive ideation participation.

Virtual Ideation Sessions

In light of the current covid19 virus epidemic, our community sessions encourage virtual participation.

Our Farmers

Our think tank will highlight the “shop locally” concept by inviting local growers to participate in our farmer’s market circle allowing participants to better understand and share in ideas for agritech solutions. Our groups will provide real world alternatives to the chemicals currently being used to landscape or grow food. Information will be provided on the health benefits of not using chemicals, as well as ways to naturally maximize growth yields through permaculture and home gardening for the 21st century.

Future Generations

A number of under 18 groups have formed to address the climate crisis. Many have come up with real world solutions, which they are implementing. It’s important that we listen to what they have to offer and continue to give them a platform to develop more solutions through the tools we can make available to them. This forum is dedicated to hearing their voice and their suggestions.

Plastics Consumption

It is clear that the plastics industry will not voluntarily significantly reduce or eliminate plastics production. All members of ClimateCon have pledged to stop using plastic packaging, bags, and containers. This group’s mission will be to provide viable alternatives to plastics consumption for both the vendor and consumer.

Government Advocacy

Data will be gathered and made available to all on a local, state, federal, and international level on which elected officials have supported local, national, and international measures to effect change. Not just talk. Action. This group will be dedicated to voting out of office all candidates who have not furthered the implementation of a climate correction plan. Regardless if that official believes in global warming or not. If no action has been put forth by the official, the official MUST be voted out of office and it is this group’s responsibility to make that happen. Climate Responsibility is a priority.

ClimateCon Beginnings

The project initiative of John Brooks and Chris Lafayette; ClimateCon blends environmental knowledge with emerging technologies to calculate and implement the methods which will have the greatest impact on reducing and eliminating unnecessary greenhouse gas emissions, while simultaneously increasing the standard of living for the majority of the population.

The methods put forth with ClimateCon members, will garnish a path towards drastically reducing, and eliminating dependence on the fossil fuel industry. ClimateCon will, in essence, provide viable alternative sustainable living patterns that will move the fossil fuel industry from being a major player in world events, into a subordinate role where earth’s citizens will no longer be dependent upon petroleum based products.

Average wildlife populations have dropped by 60 per cent in just over 40 years.

Developed and developing countries have set carbon reduction pledges for 2020; however, it's projected that those pledges will still result in the planet becoming 3℃ warmer.
